These terms govern your use of privatelyregistered.info. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What this site is
Privatelyregistered publishes educational articles about domain privacy, registration data, registrar security, DNS and website verification. It is not a registrar, a privacy or proxy service, a lookup service or a law firm, and it doesn't manage domains on anyone's behalf.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site or its content to:
- break any law, or help anyone evade a lawful investigation;
- impersonate a person or business, or register or operate lookalike domains to deceive people;
- take over, steal or interfere with domains or registrar accounts you don't control;
- obtain nonpublic registration data without authorization, or expose private individuals;
- scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or attempt to break its security;
- send spam or malicious code through our forms.
Intellectual property
Articles, page designs, the Privatelyregistered name and original graphics belong to Privatelyregistered unless stated otherwise. You may quote short passages with a link back to the source page. You may not republish whole articles, or present our work as your own, without written permission. Headlines from other publications shown on this site belong to those publishers.
Your submissions
If you send us a tip, correction or guest-post pitch, you confirm you have the right to share it. You allow us to use it to report, correct or publish, and we'll ask before publishing anything under your name.
Third-party content and links
We link to registrars, registries, ICANN, businesses and other publishers, and display headlines fetched from their feeds. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
No professional advice
Our articles are general information. They aren't legal, security or financial advice for your situation. Registrar policies, registry rules and laws change, and they differ by country and by domain extension. Check current terms with your registrar and get qualified advice before making decisions with legal or financial consequences.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it accurate and online, but we don't promise that it will be error-free, complete, current or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Privatelyregistered and its contributors aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of a domain, data, revenue or business. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent the law permits.
Indemnity
If you misuse the site or break these terms and someone brings a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring a claim locally.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions go through our contact form.
